01 // WALKING AROUND
Visit galleries, street art, and public art in Los Angeles with an artist as your guide. Depending on the route, we might move between current exhibitions, murals, sculpture, and other interventions in the city, with space for looking, conversation, and different readings of the work.

Visit 3–5 current exhibitions in one neighborhood and see how different artists, galleries, and shows approach their work.

02: Street + Public Art
Walk through murals, graffiti, public sculpture, and outdoor installations — from neighborhood walls to sculpture gardens. We look at how scale, placement, surroundings, and public access change the way art is experienced.

01: One show
Spend more time with fewer works in a current temporary exhibition in Los Angeles. We focus on shows that are on view for a limited time rather than permanent collections, so the experience changes with what’s happening in the city.

02: Artist Studios
Visit the working studios of two Los Angeles artists and see work at different stages of the process. Each artist shares what they’re making, the materials and questions behind it, with time for looking, conversation, and questions.

ABOUT WHITEWATERRAFTING
Whitewaterrafting was founded by Eugenia Moreeva, a Los Angeles–based artist, educator, and CalArts graduate. Her work and teaching are interested in how differently people can respond to the same material, artwork, or situation.
The name Whitewaterrafting comes from the mix of structure, curiosity, and discovery that runs through everything we do: the route is planned, but what you notice, connect with, and take away from it is entirely your own.
Our tours bring that approach into galleries, museums, artist studios, and the city itself. We provide context on the artists, works, and places you’re visiting, then guide the group through close looking and conversation so different readings can emerge.

These are small-group experiences led by artists and art collectors who know how to make contemporary art approachable without flattening it. Routes focus on strong current shows, public art, and working studios, with enough time for real conversation, questions, and close looking.

All Whitewaterrafting tours are led by artists and art collectors with a BA, BFA, or higher degree in an arts or humanities discipline. Each guide researches their route and provides context on the artists, works, exhibitions, and places you’re visiting.

No! We provide the context you need as we go and build the conversation around what’s actually in front of us.

Most tours run 60 — 90 minutes, depending on the format. Long enough to really get into the work, short enough to avoid museum fatigue.

Most tours are designed for small groups of 5 – 15 people.
Larger private groups may be possible for custom tours.

Admission is included only when stated in your quote. If a route requires paid entry, we’ll let you know in advance.

We’ll send the exact meeting point and route details before the tour. Tours take place throughout Los Angeles depending on what’s currently on view.

Walking Around tours involve more movement.
One Show and Artist Studios involve less. We can let you know what to expect before booking.

Yes! Tell us what you need and we’ll choose or adapt a route whenever possible.

Yes. Because exhibitions, studio availability, and public/street art change, each route is developed for your date.
We’ll send you the proposed stops privately before you commit, so you know exactly where we’re planning to go.

1–2 weeks ahead is ideal for most tours. Artist studio visits and custom tours may need more notice.

A 50% deposit secures your date, with the remaining balance due 1 day before your tour. We’ll send you a secure online invoice for payment.
Cancellations made more than 7 days in advance are refunded, less a $200 booking fee. Cancellations made within 7 days forfeit the deposit.
Tours may be rescheduled once with 7+ days notice, subject to availability.

Yes. For guests who require additional privacy, we can sign a reasonable NDA and keep the booking, itinerary, and participant identities confidential. We never share photos or names without permission.
